The G7 System Certification Program ensures that a software system can effectively calibrate a printing device to meet the G7 grayscale definition using four 1D curves.
Developed by Idealliance, the certification process evaluates a software system’s ability to align with G7 methodology and maintain precise process control. Systems that achieve G7 certification, awarded by the Rochester Institute of Technology, meet or exceed industry tolerances and are proven capable of calibrating printing devices to G7 grayscale standards.
Each G7 Certified System is accompanied by an Application Data Sheet (ADS), providing guidance for print producers and end users on the proper operation and application of the certified system.
