Our Story

Founded in 1996 as a family-owned print shop in North York, Advertek began with just eight employees and a dedication to quality and service. By 2003, we relocated to a 16,000 sq. ft. facility in Vaughan and added our first 40″ 6 colour Heidelberg press to meet growing client needs. In 2006, we rebranded with “Your Message, Your Market,” reflecting our commitment to being more than a print provider.

Over the years, we’ve expanded our capabilities through acquisitions, including Peel Graphics and Smart Lazer Graphics, and the introduction of services like Large Format Printing and Print-on-Demand. In 2016, we broadened our reach by opening a second facility in Brampton, operating out of two locations to better serve our customers.

In 2019, our rebrand to “Going Beyond Ink” marked our transformation into a full-service solutions provider. In 2024, we reached a new milestone with the acquisition of Custom Colour Imaging and moved to a state-of-the-art, 77,000 sq. ft. facility in Toronto, uniting all operations under one roof.

As a proud family-owned business, we continue to grow, innovate, and prepare for the next generation of leadership while helping businesses connect with their customers through exceptional print solutions.

ACQUISITION OF ADVERTEK SALES & MARKETING

A modest eight employee shop at our inception with our office located at 30 LePage Crt., in North York.

We purchased our first 40″ Heidelberg press and due to rapid growth, moved to a 16,000 sq. ft. building at 111 Strada Dr. in Vaughan.

The objective was to re-position Advertek as a strategic partner in the communication industry, offering more than just “ink on paper” and that Advertek was able to meet the current challenges in the industry and be able to grow with it’s clients for the future.“Your message, your market” was the ‘brand line’ developed as the core message.

As the industry evolved we invested in the digital print world and purchased a state-of-the-art Xerox digital printer. We also relocated to our new 30,000 sq. ft. office at 100 Innovation Dr. in Vaughan.

This led to the creation of our slogan, “Going Beyond Ink.” The re-brand included redesigning our logo, crafting a new slogan, developing a complete stationery package, and completely overhauling and rebuilding our website.

Strategic acquisition of Custom Colour Imaging, a renowned specialist in print-on-demand services for more than 50 years. Relocating our Brampton and Vaughan facilities to our new state-of-the-art 77,000 sq. ft. space located in Toronto.
